Scott Hannon Memorial Scholarship Fund
This endowment was initiated in 1998 to provide educational funding for underprivileged children in the state of South Carolina. We are very excited about the number of needy kids who will benefit from the program. Our foundation proudly pays 100% of the costs of administering the annual program.
Epworth Children’s Home “Christmas for Kid’s” Program
Every Christmas, all of the children from Epworth Children’s Home (approximately 100 kids) gather at Wal-Mart for a very special Christmas gift. Each child receives a minimum of $100 each from our foundation to spend on toys and gifts of their choosing. Foundation chaperones accompany each child as their faces come alive with the joy of Christmas. Our foundation pays for 100% of the costs associated with this very special program.
In 2003, this stellar program was broadcast on local news station WIS – Channel 10 in Columbia, South Carolina. Click the following links to download the news coverage videos: Video 1 Video 2
Camp Angel Tree
Camp Angel Tree is a week long, overnight summer camp for at-risk, inner-city children. All of these children have at least one parent in prison and desperately need the love and guidance that Camp Angel Tree provides. Over 100 kids and counselors attend this camp each summer. Our goal is to increase the number of children who attend each year through financial support, and providing volunteer personnel needed to handle, additional children. There are hundreds of children who qualify for the camp and our desire is to reach as many of them as possible. Our foundation pays for 100% of the costs of this week-long camp.
Camp New Horizons
We are proud to fully fund Camp Kemo’s Bereavement Camp, New Horizons each year. This is a week-long camp that nurtures families of deceased cancer victims. This camp plays in integral role in the grieving process for these families.
